Daniel Lozakovitj, Biography

Childhood and Youth

Daniel Lozakovitj (Sweden, born April 2001) began studying violin at the age of six-and-a-half. He chose himself violin and became completely in love with it. Only two years after he started to play the violin, he made his orchestral debut as soloist with Maestro Vladimir Spivakov and the Chamber Orchestra "Moscow Virtuosos" in Svetlanov Hall in Moscow International House of Music. He is currently studying with Professor Josef Rissin in Karlsruhe Music & Arts University.

Daniel took part in various international music festivals such as the "Progetto Martha Argerich" in Lugano, "Musica Mundi" in Belgium, "Bridges" in Tel-Aviv, "Royal Festival" in Stockholm, "Moscow Meets Friends", "Emilia" festival in Greece, Copenhagen summer festival, Jury Bashmet festival in Minsk, Festival of Mstislav Rostropovich in Baku. In January 2013, he went on a tour in Israel with Maestro Vladimir Spivakov and his orchestra "Moscow Virtuosos".

Meanwhile, Daniel has already performed with many orchestras including Moscow Virtuosos, Vienna Chamber Orchestra, Tchaikovsky Symphony Orchestra, Russia's Presidential Orchestra, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, Moldavian Symphony Orchestra, Nijnii Novgorod Symphony Orchestra, Swedish Royal Court Orchestra, Brussels Chamber Orchestra, Baden Sinfonietta, Talich Philharmonic Prague, Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra of South Bohemia, Stockholm Sinfonietta, Chambers Orchestra of Vladimir Perlin, Orchestra of the Galina Vishnevskaya Opera Centre and the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra (UTSO).
Daniel has enjoyed collaborations with conductors such as Vladimir Spivakov, Dmitry Lyss, Gerhardt Zimmermann, Jojo Hattori, Jan Talich, Gustaf Sjökvist, Fabio Mastrangelo, Anton Orlov, Mihail Sechkin, Alberto Hold Garrido, Vladimir Kiradjiev, to name a few.

In March 2013, Daniel was invited as honorary member of jury in Open International Contest and Festival of Rachmaninoff for instrumentalists in classical music in Riga. In 2014, Daniel got invited as really young exceptional musician to be a “students in residence” to the Verbier Festival Academy.
Daniel takes piano lessons, is successful in chess and loves to play soccer.
